Heya!
Remember how I said I was getting freckles? Well it's been a while (SORRY!) But I thought I'd finally show them!
For some reason I feel like I have a million things to do, and they all have to be done now. Which is not even true in the slightest, but I can't shake that feeling. But excuses aside, it's freckle time! I was going for a natural look, not too much or too dark. I think it was a major success and I'm extremely happy with them. I might make a few a teeny weeny bit darker, to get them to the same shade my birthmarks are.
I had my nipples shaded in too, but that is still in the healing process and in need of a touchup. Who knew nipples would swell up so much when tattooing them hehe... I don't remember if I had shared my motivation for that, so here's it anyway. I had very light nipples. So much so that in certain moments there was no difference at all between my skin tone and my nipples. This, among others, was something that made me extremely self-conscious.
Don't worry, I didn't make them full on black (which would be a look though) I went for a still light red/brown/pinkish color. Natural but noticeable. When the artist was drawing the shape, she commented on the unevenness in placement, size and shape. So what could be fixed with color was primarily the shape. Since they were so light, it was possible to 'miss' some edges in some places and add them in others. The size and placement could only be helped so much, but no worries! we've got a nice design to tattoo on one side, to visually restore the balance! (Which will be added in the touch-up)
Bit by bit I'm working on changing those things. If possible and actually needed of course. I am aware that some flaws I see are just in my head. "you should learn to accept your flaws" But why do that when I can just fix it with tattoos? Got a massive scar? BAM Tattoo! Missing some color/detail? BAM tattoo! went bald? BAM tattoo! (Hey I've seen people do it)
Or with literally anything else that the modern world has offer. We don't need to be stuck with small things we don't like about ourselves. I'm not saying go overboard of course, but if it makes you happy, then who are they to say no.
So with that I conclude my thoughts, that I had no intention of writing down. I was initially just going to share my freckles. Oh well, hope you enjoy my rambling!
As always, You are wonderful and thank you for reading💕
On the left: I had just gotten them. On the right is them now (healed). Do you like them?
