Greetings to all in this second month of the year. On the whole, your buccaneering feline hasn't been up to much. Puss has been taking it easy and the only notable recent highlight was a movie Marathon.
Puss, accompanied by Plaything and plenty of provisions, took the horseless carriage down to a local cinema to see a 'Lord of the Rings' movie marathon. The marathon began at midnight, with a small break between the films, and went for well over six hours.
The marathon only included 'The Two Towers' and 'The Return of the King' but it left Puss and Plaything very, very tired and saddle sore. However, it was good to see the two films together as you tend notice so much more. Of course, Puss is always happy to see cavalry in action.
In my far flung part of the world we recently had some major thunderstorms and downpours. At one stage during a spectacular lightning display the power cut out. It took some sixteen hours before the power was put back on. As a result, the Crypt was splendidly lit up with my many candelabra.
A few days ago a stray cat that has made herself at home in the Crypt had three little kittens under Puss's writing desk (And no, I'm not the father). Alerted by the sound of squeaking, Puss found two little ginger, and one charcoal coloured, kittens happily atttempting to suckle from their mother. They are now more suitably housed in cat box by my bed. However, I will eventually have to find homes for them all.
For the past week Plaything has been away doing the academic thing, so Puss has largely been having a rest and catching up with some domestic duties (It can't be all swashbuckling, you know). However, I expect things will soon start to get very busy again.
Until next time, I wish you all goodluck and bid you goodbye for now.
Your Puss.
