and it finally happened. I've grown weary of playing video games all day. I want a job. (also I'm becoming increasingly broke). Problems:
-I hate forms of any kind. This includes job applications and even creating a resume from a template. Paperwork is a pain in my ass.
-I hate job searching. Last time I was looking for a job and not an internship, I looked for weeks and filled out dozens of applications. The closest I got to a job was at Staples. I did great with the interview. The manager wanted to hire me. It turns out that I failed the fucking personality test. har har. The manager actually showed me the results. Apparently I have some issues with honesty in the having too much of it sense. Yes. If you're an honest person, don't bother applying to Staples. They don't want you.
-I suck at interviews. There was, of course, the one that I bombed on purpose. Still, the rest of them I get all nervous and such with.
-I can't take a hint. Yeah, I keep following up until I either get the truth or some sort of very convincing lie. I'm sure I waste a lot of effort on places that just don't wan tme. It would be polite of them to jsut say it from the start.
-RIT job zone hates me. I apply for jobs listed as available, keep in touch with the company and follow up like a madman only to find out that the position has been filled weeks ago and the contact "doesn't know why RIT hasn't updated their list". Uh...maybe it's because one of you is a fucktard.
So yeah, really hate the job search. But, I need a year of experience before the RIoT finally gives me the degree I've earned. The sooner I start, the sooner I'll get that magical slip of paper that says I'm allowed to look for a real job and do this all over again. Woo!
