This afternoon I was reminded by the radio of a terrible era in american popular music history that we all had no choice but to either completely fall for or grit our teeth and thank god that the boyband/crappyfemalesoloartist phase was taking its place(little did we know that those things were equally evil). Three terrible words brought back all the frustration I went through as I waited for music to get back to something I could not feel embarassed listening to.
Those three words:
ZOOT SUIT RIOT
So now I have this goddamned song stuck in my head and I can't get it out. And I've tried to ease it out with Jill Sobule and a touch of Sarah Harmer but that's not working. And I'm worried that if I try some of my favorites that I'll be walking around with some swing music/geek rock hybrid stuck in my head and it will ruin my favorite songs. and I don't want to try bad music for fear that I'll just get that stuck up there. so I ask you:
WHAT KILLS SWING?
