A very good winter solstice to all!
I made a very lovely pine wreath from things I gathered in the woods. I made the vine wreath part last month so yesterday I attached pine trimmings, and cones to it along with some silk poinsettias. I also attached a sprig of mistletoe that I found growing on an oak tree. It came out quite nice.
I also made the cutest yule tree. I cut the top off a small pine tree and set it in a base. Then I made little silver beads from salvaged aluminum foil , strung them and then tied cranberry red yarn pieces between each bead and covered a cardboard cut out star with more of the foil. Added a few tiny decorations that Grannie had stashed away and voila! Super cute holiday tree.
Yesterday I received some yummy goodies from the vegan cookie swap we had going on over in the vegan & veggie group. It's so nice getting packages in the mail!
Sorry no pictures but I don't have a decent camera anymore.
