I've recently become obsessed with making seitan. (Pronounced say-tun).
It's a protein product made from wheat gluten. I haven't made it in nearly 30 years and then it was such an ordeal, involving making dough from whole wheat flour and rinsing it under running water until all the starch and fiber is gone.
Now you can buy vital wheat gluten and make it in seconds. No more rinsing! After it's made the formed "dough" gets simmered in broth for about an hour and a half.
This time I sliced it into "steaks"
Then I fried some up with a bit of onion! It was yummy.
The next day I chopped some up and sauteed it along with some onions and peas then served it over rice!
I'm not disciplined enough to work on a 365 series so I'm 'stealing' Cherry's idea of 52 weeks instead.
Here's this weeks pic.
I love the random oddness of things that happens on Twitter.
Take last night. I randomly commented back at one of the people I'm following. I honestly couldn't remember who they were though, so when they messaged back at me I decided to look at their profile.
I took one look and yelled out "The plug thing..it not plugged!"
Turns out I was briefly "chatting" with the guy that voiced Gir!

I won't forget him again!
I went to a movie today. First time in ages.
A "couple friend" of ours took us to go see:
It was really good. I don't think I've gone to a "kids movie" since my children were little. Not that I don't watch them but I tend to go to the movies to watch movies that really need to been seen on a big screen.
Oh and here's another version of my favorite image from the other day's photo shoot.
There's more in my previous posting if you haven't seen them yet.
I suppose that enough. Probably more then enough

I'm not playing exactly. I'm trying and sounding really bad, but I am trying. I've loved the cello since I was a little kid.
