hmmm, life takes some very strange turns...after my ranting and raving - i got a call today at work...apparently - i'm a professional (professional what is TBD) - but they just told me that because of this new status - work will be paying for my summer classes 
i am so very happy!!! AND - if i stay in my current position (not the one at the moment - but you understand) i am eligible for money "professional development" is what they consider it next fiscal year! so, it's amazing how things work themselves out... amra- think there's hp involved??
