Today wasn't the best day. It was a million degrees and I had an awful migraine. I had to come home sick from work because I couldn't see properly out of one eyes which I thought was just because of my migraine but after going to the doctor and being referred to an optometrist, it turns out it is a degenerative eye disease called keratoconus. Basically it means my cornea is gradually becoming thinner and becoming more conical which also causes my eye sight to gradually get worse. Tomorrow I will be going to pick out new frames because I will need new glasses. My eye sight has gotten significantly worse since my last eye exam as a result of this disease. After the optometrist tested and selected my new prescription, I put my current glasses back on and was amazed by how little I can see compared to the new prescription. Hopefully it won't take too long for me to get my new glasses. I had never heard of this eye disease until today but it turns out about 1 in 2000 people suffer from it. It can be quite debilitating as it gets worse, and there is no current end all cure, just ways to manage it. Basically more frequent eye exams and updating my prescription more frequently. It will get worse and worse as years go on. It will likely get to the point where I will only be able to see by wearing hard contact lenses which are a bitch to get in compared to soft ones. It may also get to the point in the next ten years where I will have to have corneal transplants. And it is possible I may end up legally blind. Fun. I just hope it doesn't get too much worse too quickly because not being able to see will mean I cannot do my current job nor could I learn to body pierce which is a requirement in my current job. This is all worst case scenario of course, I may be one of the lucky ones where my eye sight is awful but still manageable with prescription glasses. And science is always advancing, perhaps by the time my eyes are at their worst, bionic eyes will be perfected and I will get robot eyes. That would be a fantastic science fiction twist!

Anyway, as much as I would love to catch up on groups, sets, blogs and everything else on this site at the moment, I've already been staring at a computer screen much longer tonight than I should. I will most likely not be back on here much until I have got my new glasses and can manage looking at a computer screen for longer than five minutes. If you're not already, follow my instagram so you can stalk me in the mean time. I'm off to have a nap with my Princess.
Live Long and Prosper!
Oh and ps Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great New Years Eve! I spent mine getting lap dances from my friends with @bettierose good.
