Hello lovers,
Gosh, its been ages since Ive been on this site! Ive had a pretty full on year but I promise to try my hardest to pay more attention to this site, because theres so many pretty ladies and lovely people on here and I miss you guys!
Lots has happened in the last year. Mostly good things. Heres a brief(ish) summary:
In the past year, I have made so many new and wonderful friends as well as rekindling friendships with old mates. I wouldnt trade my mates for anything, they are the best people and they make me incredibly happy. I met a boy. He was lovely, we were seeing each other for a few months and then for no real reason we just kind of stopped seeing each other. Buhbow. But life goes on. Ive got a new job. I dont love it but Im in no position financially to quit so I have to just go with it.
I saw so many of my favourite bands. I saw Billy Talent, twice, both times were amazing. I saw The Beards, twice and I met them both times and hung out with them for ages the second time around but I was very drunk and have little memory of it, oops! I do remember hitting on the bassist and him rejecting me because he was married haha oh dear. I saw Blink-182 three times! The first night was the most amazing. Mark Hoppus sang All Of This which Robert Smith sang with them originally, I cant believe I am saying this but Mark Hoppus sang it so much better that Robert Smith. It was at that point of the evening I became completely overwhelmed with Blink feels and cried. Mark Hoppus made me cry and I loved every second of it. The Vandals supported Blink, I hadnt listened to them for years and it rekindled my love for them, I ended up seeing them three times too, they got better and better each time. I saw The Offspring and they sang all of my favourites of their songs, cue 90s nostalgia. I saw The Smith Street Band finally, every time theyve played, Ive missed it for some shitty reason. A few weeks before I saw Wil Wagner (their singer) solo and we hung out for a bit, he is the loveliest guy! We took selfies together and he drank my beer. I had no money to buy a band tee when he came back with the band so he gave me one in exchange for weed haha. Luca Brasi (an amazing Tassie band) supported them and my friends and I danced on stage and crowd surfed and did shoeys and Tassie stuff. It was the best night. I got a few new tattoos and found an amazing tattoo artist who I will now exclusively go to because he is fantastic. Ive been drunk a lot this year, Ive had a lot of experiences I dont care to share. Ive done a lot of stupid things. I recently turned 23, this will be my year to get my life on track, to do things I want to do, so I can finally be happy and content.
