OMG YOU GUYS! I have been so busy lately, I haven't had a chance to even look at SG.
It makes me sad because on a quick look it seems lots of awesome sets have been about lately, I shall get on checking those all out immediately!
Hmm, what has happened in the last month? Two new tattoos, several different hair colours and cuts and probably the greatest thing to ever happen to me:
Henry Rollins was down on May 5th, I had been looking forward to this since the day I got the tickets about six months ago. For those of you who do not know, Henry Rollins is kind of my hero. He is such an inspiration and his writing is fantastic and it always helps me when I am going through a rough time.
The lights go out, music stops and then a man runs and just jumps out on the front of the stage, then the cheering, applauding and squealing starts when everyone realises that the man on stage is indeed HENRY FUCKING ROLLINS! Three hours later and it is all over. Henry Rollins doesn't stop, no interval, hell the man doesn't even stop for a breath or a drink of water. He is pure energy. There is actually a warning on the door before you go in, telling you there is no interval haha.
Anyway we go and wait outside by the stage door in hopes of meeting the man himself. He looks out the window from above and he sees us, we all wave and within moments, the door is opening and a man is walking towards us, we squeal like school girls would over the beatles and half-run towards him, extending our hands to shake his. "Hi Henry, I'm Sky, it's amazing to meet you!" (or some jumbled version of that, I stumbled over what I was saying so much, I was so nervous!) *shakes hand*. I have no idea what else I or he said, I was in awe! What I do know is I asked him to write out my favourite line from one of his books so that I may have it tattooed and I now have this tattoo. This particular line and the entire piece it is from has a rather significant meaning to me and I am absolutely honoured to have in tattooed on my body in the man him self's handwriting!
Meeting Henry Rollins, greatest moment of my life!
This is the piece the line is from:
Where are you tonight my loneliness?
I sit in my room
I keep the music loud to distract my mind
There was a woman here last night
It was hard to not walk out in the middle of the whole thing
Where is the echo in my heart?
Will I ever meet someone
That will take the bitter taste from my mouth?
I am loneliness
I wish I had someone to miss
Also rib tattoos DO hurt as much as people say they do!
It was the most painful tattoo I have ever had! But it also was the most worth it! I couldn't be happier with it!
I also got this tattoo in April on Friday the 13th for a charity event.
I know my birthday was awhile ago but hese were my two favourite birthday presents:
Misfits headphones:
Pikachu kigu:
Random pictures from the last few months:
