Today the man I will hopefully begin silversmithing with. Lee Guaro was in the store today. He set up a bench in the corner of the store to showcase his work. He is making me a bracelet. It will Be silver with feather inlay. The center piece is turquoise hand cut and carved into a feather. It will be so nice to have a one of a kind hand made traditional Navajo bracelet. Not only is the piece going to be beautiful. It was made specifically for me.
Hopefully Lee will decide that I can become his apprentice. I had started learning silversmithing from another person. Some of you may think this wrong, but I had a problem learning traditional native art work from a white man. So I ended my apprenticeship.
I am planning a trip to Canada. I have never been and could use so suggestions on good places to visit.
**Update**
I cut my hand, split my lip, broke my thumb and dislocated my shoulder. All in all it was a good day.
