"Richard Wagner's letters to his lover Mathilde were a mess
He should have quit before he had written the address
They made love on the mezzanine
Her husband was his friend
Vienna in a fugue-state working on a thing
That when he finished it took almost seven hours to sing
He still found time to write to her
His heart-exploding words
Our love surpassed our love so fast
Our love's all wrong our love goes on and on
Our love became our love by name
When I wrote it to you in a song
Our love goes on and on
Our love our love"
The last week was pretty tough. I caught the worst cold ever last weekend at M's housewarming, so I spent most of the week praying for Death's sweet release and the comforting embrace of Oblivion. But it never came. I've been given the nickname 'Sickboy' at work because of my unwell state/
I did drag my sorry self along to 'The Shins' show on Monday night, which was so unbelievably good. The rock out version of 'Caring Is Creepy' was the highlight for me. The downside? The crowd. Definately.
Being oncall for work has been tolerable, apart from being woken up at 3:30 AM ON MY BIRTHDAY because LVS had fallen over. Not fun. I did manage to restrain myself from putting a snarky commenct in my oncall logs though. I'm so proud of me.
