I've just learnt about the strangest thing...well strange to me, be cynical..i was...
So my mum dragged me to this taster thing for massage and alternative therapies this evening...i say dragged, i mean i bugged her to let me go along...i love stuff like that, especially indian head massage...if my life plan doesnt work out how i want it to be i might train to be a theraputic massus (sp?) since i adore touching people and they feel amazing if its done right...
anyway, so one of the things on offer was kinesiology...which is...well..umm how do i explain this...it uses muscles as indicators to show what things cause our bodies stress..we had to hold our arms out and the girl, claire, wold "exert pressure" on our arms...or push them down lol..if something wasnt stressful you could hold your arm up..if it was you cant...so if you are allergic to a certain food or sustance the practitioner holds a vial close to you with the electromagnetic vibration (at an atomic level apparently) you cant keep your arm in the air...i mean it may all be scientifically bollocks but i think is one of those things where if you believe it works...it works...
the treatments get even more bizarre...once they've figured out whats wrong with you (rage against cheating ex-boyfriends causing emotional and physical problems....go figure!) they do some more arm tests to see what could help, supplements, diet changes, or this thing called "Quantum K"...Quantum K is a book this guy Andrew Kemp wrote involving the Fibonachi (sp?) sequence...which is a mathematical priniciple using quantum physics..the numbers are a bit like Pascale's triangle i think...or at least thats what i understood from my brief "i want to understand" talk..and basically its working on the idea that the human brain is like a complex chemical computer...and this is a way to reprogram it, sort of like defragging, to clear up space and get rid of everything you dont want
i found it so fascinating...so thats my tuppence...or 2 cents sorry to you americans...for today..i hope you're all well!

if someone could repair/reprogram my brain trust me on some stressfull days i d give anything for that! the human mind/body is a amazining thing my frind who studies chei is 47 and as fit as a fiddle, when we go out he runs the 7 miles from his house to mine and turns up not even out of breath or even sweating ( maybe he gets the bus and is winding me up!) his never ill, never gets injured playing sports or training its mad and its all down to the eastern training he has had and carries on doing. free your mind and your body shall follow. i used to smoke loads of weed and thought that i was freeing my mind but all i was doing was numbing it i m sure. i m gonna have to learn some more about chei and the power of the mind and start my 'jedi' training soon!
so hows your weekend been?
There are just about five million danes in the whole world - so there are many citites (including London, I believe) that have more residents than our entire population. That's a little strange to think about.
Regarding learning japanese from spanish: I t should be possible... why not? Sounds like a challenge. I learned french from a norwegian, and that worked... Well, I'm not good at french - I read and understand it, speak it a little, but I don't write it very well (actually I would like to learn spanish, too...).
