A thought occurred to me yesterday. I don't want to sound like a Luddite, and I'm all for new technology, but will the rise of the MP3 player and the IPod mean the end of that lovely tradition - the Mix Tape. Many's the time I've laboured for hours putting together just the right combination of songs, either for myself or better still for that...

I don't think the mix will ever disappear... it just gets updated. Many's the time I've made a playlist for someone, and then either sent it over email or burned it to CD. It evolves like the unkillable thing it is! xx

New year, New Zenith ... well, maybe. It would be great to think that something as arbitrary as a change of date would enable you to get your shit together and sort out your life. I guess it's all in my own making. I want to be a a better person this year, to not let opportunities pass me by, to stop putting things off...

I used to be Father Christmas, you know. Yup, it's true. One Christmas I was very poor and accepted a job as Father Christmas at my local department store (albeit a young and skinny Father Christmas). It was actually quite a good job, not badly paid, and came with a great deal of satisfaction. I didn't have a grotto - just roamed the shop handing...

Well, despite my best intentions, it's been another age since my last blog. Life seems to get in the way sometimes. Spent a few days in London last week, had a good time. Good to recharge the batteries in the smoke once in a while. Saw 'Wicked' which was tremendous. I feel decidedly un-Christmassy, though. Can't believe it's only a few weeks away. Maybe once...

I realise to my horror I haven't updated in over a month, and my last post probably painted me as something of a sentimental old fool - maybe not the impression I want to give on a regular basis (although probably not entirely inaccurate).

I'm doing a bit of dancing at the moment, Salsa-style stuff. It would be true to say I'm not the world's...

How long has it been since my last journal entry? I'm a bad SG friend!

It's been a busy summer. I directed a play in July which was quite well received, and my job's been incredibly hectic. Still, I'm kinda getting on top of things again and hopefully will be able to be a more frequent communicator.

Love to all. love

It's coming on midnight, and in the wood behind my house I can hear a squeaking noise. I think it might be a squirrel, but I don't know what noise a squirrel makes. It seems to be enjoying itself, whatever.

I'm really sleepy, but don't want to go to bed - I feel strangely restless. Maybe I'll succumb soon, maybe not.

I'm not generally a...

I'm going into something of a decline at present. It happens every 4 years with the advent of the World Cup. I hate football and all that goes with it. There's no escape. The appearance of St George's Crosses in every building, on every car, the disruption to the TV schedules, the constant references to England, Beckham, Rooney, et al. I would happily leave the...

So much for global warming - it's been freezing cold here, gales, rain, you name it. When will the summer come? There's me thinking it's time to start stripping off and getting relaxed and suntanned, and now I'm bundled up in my woolies again. Bah! mad
dixy:
i know... where is the global warming!

Saturday was the night for the Eurovision Song Contest! For those of you who've never seen it, it's a pan-European TV event where the countries of Europe each enter a song. Traditionally it's something of a kitsch-fest, something highlighted in Britain by the ascerbic comments of our commentator, Terry Wogan. This year was a definite improvement however, with many acts trying something different - UK's...
