So ... Michael Jackson. I've been meditating a fair amount today, as I guess many have, on the nature of fame. Thriller was the soundtrack to my teenage years, and while I don't think he ever was able to recapture those glory days as the issues of his personal life took over, that and Off The Wall can't be beaten. I feel that what he needed was strong mentor/father figure who could keep him in check - once that was gone, he was lost. Look at the clips of him in his youth, and think what he became. It's sad.
And Farrah Fawcett - I hate the overuse of the word 'iconic', but Farrah was an icon in the proper sense of the word, a beautiful golden goddess who lit up the 70s. Ironically, my first pinup was Cheryl Ladd, but Farrah is and remains a legend.
I'm slightly on the horns of a dilemma at the moment. A former girlfriend has come back into my life, albeit in a tentative way ... we occasionally email in a purely platonic way. It's nice. However, I know that my other half wouldn't be pleased if she knew - I also know that my former girlfriend's life is not that great at present and I don;t want her to become reliant on our contact, since it can only be what it is. That said, I'm probably being conceited and she's happy to have a pen-friend as I am.
I've also been in quite a volatile mood this week. Maybe it's the hot weather. I was watching a programme this week about the Mediaeval diet, and in respect of the four humours. Maybe I'm choleric, or melancholic. Or both.
Anyway, gotta go - lots of love to everyone out there?

secretary:
How are you my dear? x
secretary:
I'm glad your play was a success. I love Heathers, it's a cult classic.
I'm glad that someone on here actually knew the quote, and didn't think I was just being profane. x
