When you’re really sad, confused, and upset, it’s probably OK to read Mark Anthony’s funeral speech from Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare (the one that starts “Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears.”, you know, that one), but it would appear it’s a dreadful mistake to have YouTube on, with Lost in Vegas reacting to Dire Straits’ Sultans of Swing while you read it.
I got to:
“But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did love him once, not without cause.
What cause withholds you then to mourn for him?
O judgment! Thou art fled to brutish beasts,
And men have lost their reason. Bear with me.
My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar,
And I must pause till it come back to me.” (weeps)
And boy did I.
