fuck, i used to practically live at this awesome little used book store on fairfax in hollywood. the owner was this old armenian man and they had the weirdest books ever there. his wife was a retired prima ballerina so like 1/2 the books were these odd ballet manuals but it was amazing. they had a purple velvet couch there that i loved until i figured out that i always got flea bites from sitting on it.

okay, thats the end of my ramble.

I need a new job.

It's time to dump this dead-end shit-job and put my degree to use.

Actually, it was time a while ago, but I really need to get outta there. And hopefully before I get canned.

Liberal arts degree? It's like a trap; I'm going back to school just to get a career driven degree.

Re your journal for last Mon (sorry not been round for a while frown ) - "what goes around comes around" may be a cliche, but an apt one. That was good to read biggrin

Hooray for karma!

The woman responsible for laying my father and 30 other empolyees off (as well as eliminatng several job openings, including the PR job I applied for) has been sacked.

My father could barley contain his glee. I found it amusing.

I went to High School with this guy. Didn't like him then. Like him less now. The images of what he did to that woman don't do it justice. the clips on the news were nauseating.
another story about it here.

Went and saw Collateral on Friday. I enjoyed it a lot. I was especially impressed with Jamie Fox; his performance in the film has me looking forward to seeing him in the Ray Charles movie coming out.

I missed the last 30 seconds of the movie or so. Damn 33 oz. beers. I'm not complaining about the fact that I'm lucky to have a multiplex...

Strange story for the day: First of all, let me start by saying that I can't fucking stand Tom Green, Johnny Knoxville or anyone else that finds humor in randomly ambushing people with obscene/offensive behavior. I find it a bit too juvenile for my liking.

So...on to the story. I walk down to the local library branch three times a week or so. It's helped...

Disturbing encounter - I expect he felt his show - or whatever - gave him his 'justification' in trying to use the public as unpaid stooges; I don't have any patience with idiots or nuisances & would have reacted in a similar way to you. I don't see where the 'humour' is.

Re what you said about gardening - I'm not that patient at that either, it's more resignation. I wait for the right time of year, sow the seeds, wait for them to produce whatever & they fail. That's a whole year without whatever it is. You're right! What the fuck am I doing in gardening?

I like the animation ('avatar'?) Where do you go for yours?
And how do you download them so they work? I just get a collection of still frames. Duh!

I am disgusted that I live in a state where people choose to make an amendment to the state's constitution banning that which is already illegal in this state. It sickens me that a whopping 70%+ of the population is this fucking homophobic.

I don't care where you stand on the gay marriage issue, but a constitution is for establishing rights of the citizens, not...

There is too much interference by assholes on things which harm no-one. They may 'disapprove' of the 'deviant' behaviour/subject though it doesn't affect them in any way - but they stick their bloody noses in anyway. Or 'they' refuse to consider introducing something enlightened or beneficial because of their stupid prejudices.
sorry to read about your Dad & friend btw. That sucks!
