Saw Dick Dale last weekend. The man is freaking insanely talented. Don't know many guitar players that can outplay their drummers while standing behind them. He does a mean Louis Armstrong impression, too. Plays a damn fine trumpet. And can't even read sheet music.
67 and can still out-perform 90% of the music industry. And still all most people know him for is they guy that did that music from Pulp Fiction. Fucking travesty.
The man practically invented rock and roll as we know it. Without Dale, we wouldn't have the modern amplifier. Or guitar pedals.

Would like to see Dick Dale whenever he's over here next. the 2's & 3's don't seem so bad when you hit the next one up (trust me). I still feel like someone half my age - I just can't catch them. Boom boom.
