Few things to announce today.
One: We deffinatly have baby "Walter's" on the way. Walter is one of our bearded dragons. We found out that she was a SHE when the new rescue one we got, formerly named Nub from his injuries and now called Logan, mounted her and she is deffinatly swollen with the impending babies.
Two: We were told a while ago by someone in a pet store that we would have to keep buying meal worms from them for our lizards because its so darned hard to raise them into producers... yet here we are with a very active beetle colony in an old twizzler container.
Three: Had to get a small cage today to put the mice in... Jake our ball python isnt eating them right away, our friend bought him way to many at once. So now they have a nice lil habitat where they will continue to get fat and happy till we put them back in the tank with the snake to be eaten.
Four: Sylvie my iguana is finally out of her first heat. Thank god cuz I needed body armor to feed her while she was going through her process.
Five: I think one of our toads is dead.... it happens but grrr.
Yes people I have alot of animals and I havnt even listed them all. 1 dog shepard/retriever mix, 1 cat, 1 iguana, 2 bearded dragons, 3 pacific tree frogs and 6 (or 5) western toads. Plus the 2 mice while they are hanging out with us.
I showed my daughter a film tonight on netflix called Vegucation. I showed it to her because I thought it was important for her to know where all the yummy meat she eats comes from. Granted we get our meat that gets theirs from local farms, and we dont have the big industrial farms near here. But still... and now she wants to cut back on how much she eats. Shes also pretty much set against drinking milk at school anymore. She wants to bring a water bottle so she can have that instead.
Tonights dinner was her pick, so we had baked fish, which unfortunatly didnt turn out well, new fish for me to cook and I honestly dunno what happened but no butter or liquid or anything and it had never been frozen and somehow it litrally liquified. Was really weird. With that we had white rice and roasted veggies. The veggies were carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, yellow bell peppers and mushrooms. The sauce was a little bit of butter with crushed garlic w/ onion poweder and some thyme and parsley was sprinkled on top. The veggies were extreamly filling.
