Birthday debauchery
CodeNinja was late getting to my apartment. Supposed to be here around 4:30, he pulls in at 6:30. We ditch his car at the Bartell's down the street and we're off. Ride the 174 to Downtown, hit the ATM and then off to the Owl and Thistle for some warm up drinks. Sadly, we get in there about 8PM, which is door at the Last Supper Club. We met up with Kb, Cheebus, GSpeezy and bitterfun Had a couple pints on bitterfun's tab. Sugar and her coworker Jenny showed up a bit closer to 9PM to pick up some cash from me for evening fun (she was supposed to go to NocNoc to see Hands of Kali)
We rolled up into the LSC right about 9PM. As I was doing the getting-access-to-the-bar dance (I have a temp ID, and bars are usually loathe to take it. I had to show the bouncer my debit card, too, as "alternate ID." But I digress), I see hollyking and hollyqueen heading out - they weren't able to hang out very long and my earlier delays cost me all of my time with the Holly Court. I'm really sorry, guys. I still feel bad.
Already at the bar were B, justawave, Nate, LordMoon, BrickMcLargeHuge and SniperWolf. As we're trying to decide where to sit, some of the Stage Kittens from Burning Hearts ask us what's up. I announce loudly that it's CodeNinja's 21st birthday. Much cheering in the crowd. Sugar shows up just after the show starts. Apparently, she didn't want to wait for the Hands of Kali show and wanted to hang out with us instead.
Drinks, dinner and dancing ensure. The Bedroom Club is a weekly event hosted by Burning Hearts (absolute last performance will be October 24. Don't miss out!) featuring a mix of burlesque acts. Our hostess for the evening, Miss Anita Goodmann, sang a variety of covers. According to the Burning Hearts MySpace page, the lineup was:
The Cast For The Bed Room Club
* Anita Goodmann - Your Hostess *
* Goody Goody - Cookin'! *
* Lolita L'Amour - Watch those move! *
* Luna Nocturna - Night is her mistress *
* Lucky Lucy O'Rebel - She's the mighty sprite of Burlesque might!*
* Miss Cassie O'Hara - She's a little dinghy *
* Miss Elaine Yes - Sheer Elegance * (wasn't able to dig up her website too easily)
I can't remember who did the "Rubber Duckie" set, but that was hawt and secksay and silly, all at the same time. Remember the song "Rubber Duckie" by Ernie from Sesame Street? Yeah. Two girls did that. One bather, one duck. Yum.
Asses were grabbed. Mine, yours, theirs, everyone's, it seems. Mainly it was Brick and I sexually harassing each other...
Makenzie showed up during intermission. Brick and Sniper bailed early to go to a punk show.
After the show was over, justawave, Nate, B, Mak, Moon, CN and I all head over to the 9LB Hammer in Georgetown. Fun bar. Mak and I played shuffleboard against this punk couple, we beat them so badly that it was almost embarrassing for us. Almost.
Last call, the bartender TOOK OUR DRINKS. justawave and I were halfway through our respective beverages and POOF. She took them.
From there, off to Randy's for some post-drinking greasy spoon cookin. CodeNinja had a BIT too much fun and spent most of the meal in the men's room. We packed up his pancakes and sausage to go. Mak regaled us with tales of his job as an EMT. Dear god, he's a funny motherfucker.
Afterward, Mak took CN and I back to my place, where we deposited him on the couch and we crashed hard. Lights out at 5AM
Damn fine night. Damn fine
