So I fell asleep and didn't get into town to book my tattoo appointment I'll go on Tuesday though, I don't work Monday nights so I have a slightly less screwed up sleeping pattern then.
My flatmate is doing my head in. Seriously. She can't afford to pay her rent so she's moved out to stay with her boyfriend and is looking for someone else to take her room. She can only afford to pay her rent up until the end of this month (although the landlord is getting pissy because she hasn't even paid this month's full rent) so we need someone new to move into her room in the next couple of weeks. You'd have thought she'd make some kind of effort! She refuses to top up her mobile so she can't call back anyone who is advertising looking for a room. She sent me a message today on Facebook asking if I can show people round next week because she's too busy. She doesn't even know I've left university now so she's assuming I'll take a day off to show people the room.
It might be that I'm being unreasonable, but I think if she wants to break the contract then she can do the work. She hasn't been back to clean her room for viewings, she's not picked up her post... The list is endless. Plus she still owes me 220 that she's not paying back just now as she can't afford it.
I wiah I could just get someone in to live in her room that I have more in common with. I don't know anyone in Manchester apart from Thom that I really identify with. Because I work in an indie club I am constantly surrounded by little emo and indie kids, I don't know anyone who's into rock and punk music the way I am, none of my friends have tattoos or piercings really, I just feel like bit of an outsider. I know this group of people is out there, the question is how to meet them? Ideally I'd find myself a group of guy and girl mates more like the people who tend to hang out on SG, and a gorgeouis tattooed older punk man to spend my time with. Now that would be bliss.
Sorry for all of the ranting this post, I will be much more upbeat in the future

& i know what you mean, i don't have this stuff in common with my friends either.
never heard of red sea before, checked out the website though. seems good. i go to outer heaven, it's a pretty new place in ashton-under-lyne. there are two experienced tattooists and two apprentices (one of whom pierces aswell). i can't recommend it enough but it's a bit out of your way compared to red sea.
Everyone seems to be havin hellish housemate troubles these days, lol. It's her trouble though, good call not holding her hand through it... nobody should have to deal with other peoples problems to that extent. I know how you feel bout the indie insurgents to, I realised the other week that for some reason these days, most of the people I know would rather dance to The Arctic Monkeys than Slipknot in a club... depressing.
