Okay, a little self pity poetry, a bit of rage, I think I am ready to move on now.
My single thought for this day is this: It seems to me, as I know it has seemed to others through the ages, that there must be a simpler way for people to live together. We are a society built around I and Me and Mine. It feels destructive.
The really sad thing is that my experience is that, left to their own devices, human beings - or at least American human beings - become preoccupied with accululating shit: stuff, possessions, paper, you know - shit.
I am in the midst of cleaning out to move and I am amazed at how stuff I have accumulated, boxes and boxes of stuff saved ... for what? I am clueless. The refrain going through my head again and again is "what was I thinking"
Oh well - I think of moving as a high colonic for a house. It is just funny that, as much as I propogate the personal mythology that I am no preoccupied with positions, I am your basic run-of-th-mill pack rat.

How was the movie?
This semester I am taking three classes: Western Civilization, American Sign Language 1 and Creative Writing Workshop. Believe me when I tell you my red-blooded Republican father rolled his eyes so hard they nearly fell from his skull when he took a gander at my courses this term. Ha.
Here's to pack-ratdom forever. *raises glass*
