Okay, so I guess its time I updated this cocksucker.
I usually have a semi-hard time on 07/04 'cause I ain't know patriot. This year wasn't bad. But usually all of the jingoistic "we're the greatest country in the world" bullshit just makes me crazy.
This year I just went to a parade and watched fireworks and then went home, skipped all the speeches.
Consequently, I am not in a really bad mood today.
But here's something I don't get: If we're so great how come 1 out of 5 kids is living in poverty? How come a poor woman can't get day care so she can get a job and have enough money to feed her family and give them a decent home? How come people with mental illness are living in the streets? What is the true measure of greatness. Having the biggest dick (military)? Or the healthiest population.
