So 4 days and I almost feel human again. Almost.
I actually can't remember being so sick for so long in a very long time.
My throat is still swollen but at least its no longer as wide as my head, that was not a good look, I can assure you.
Thursday night I actually thought I wasn't going to make it, I was so fucking hot, I just lay in bed crying with a cold wet towel laid over me, had the hubby been home I'd have gone to ER as my temperature was so high but I was on my own with a five year old so instead I chose to stay and sweat it out.
I have no recollection of Friday. I do know I drove myself to the doctors and then to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription but I can't remember doing it which is slightly alarming.
The antibiotics I got prescribed were fucking huge, almost as big as my little finger, not good when its actually difficult to swallow water, let alone something solid.
I now have the shits again, thanks to the antibiotics. Awesome.
Hope everyone else feels better than I do.

Sounds like strep to me, but I'm not the doctor here. I had a really nasty case of strep about 2 years ago. It was July, 100 degrees out, and I was wearing a leather coat, zipped up, because I was freezing. Turns out I was freezing because I had a fever of 103. It was horrible.
