I hate other drivers...some fuck cut me off on the freaking shoulder...grr. Anywho -
Wednesday I didn't have anything planned, so I asked my grandpa where the nearest Barnes & Noble was...he gave me directions and I got lost. I kinda knew where I was, since I'd passed the 17 so I just hopped on the 17 and headed over to my friend's movie theatre. She wasn't working yet so I went to the Barnes & Noble around the corner then watched Lost in Translation. When I got out she was there and the theatre was empty, so I just hung out with her all day at the theatre. Hehe, it was interesting. After she closed up we went over to one of her friends house and had a little St. Patrick's party. I met some of Chris' boyfriend's friends and a girl named Laura, she was awesome..another theatre person.
Thursday - I picked Chris and our other friend up and we went to Santa Cruz. OH DEAR LORD I LOVE SANTA CRUZ! We walked around the Wharf and barked at the sea lions. While eating lunch I saw a light house in the distance and I decided I wanted to go there. We walked along the beach and I found a sand dollar. When we first got down on the beach there were these homeless guys and one was like "How you doing today, pretty girl?" and I was all "Umm...just dandy." and then he said "That's nice. Enjoy my living room." Hehe, that amused me. We walked the board walk then headed back to the car and drove to the light house. It turned out to be a surfing museum...was really cool. We walked down this natural stone stairway to this surfing area and explored the tide pools a bit. After that we drove up to UC Santa Cruz so I could look around a bit and hit up the book store for a few things. I'm transfering to Santa Cruz...I'm really glad I've chosen to go there, it's absolutely beautiful. We have the jankiest mascot, though...it's so awesome. GO BANANA SLUGS! We walked around The Quary (which is an amphitheatre cute out of the stone) and then it was time to go. We wanted to get to the Mystery Spot before it got dark. We drove around and eventually found it...waaay off the beaten track...absolutely beautiful woodlands. It reminded me how much I adore the woods. It was closed when we got there and Chris and I really wanted to see it...so we decided to come back the next day. We left Santa Cruz and picked up Laura to go have sushi. Ate at this awesome place...sushi boat, $2 a plate. We hung out at Barnes & Noble for a while then called up Juan and asked him if he wanted to go to Chris' theatre so we could watch the screening of Dawn of the Dead. We hung out at Laura's place for a little while (beautiful renovated Victorian...I was quite smitten with it) then we headed to the theatre. Chris and I got through most of it but we had to leave after a while...icky.
Friday - I woke up early and started to go over to Chris'...then all of a sudden I got pulled over. OMG, NO! I've never gotten a ticket in my life! That sucked so much. The cop said I did a rolling stop or some janky shit like that. But honestly, he didn't turn his lights on until I'd droven like another mile...I looked in the mirror for a sec to pull a strand of hair out of my eyes...then he turned his lights on. I think he pulled me over cause I'm a girl...stupid cop. I eventually got to Chris' and we headed back to the Mystery Spot. It was pretty neat, like the Mystery House they used to have at Knott's Berry Farm...ya know, where the gravity goes at an angle or whatever. Our tour guide was kinda janky but he was a UCSC alumni so we had fun saying "Go Slugs!" a lot. My dad asked me to get him a Santa Cruz paper so we picked one up then headed back up the windy 17. I droppped Chris off then went back to my Grandparent's house so I could take a little nap before I headed home. 7 hours of driving later and I was home.

I tried playing the race card once. . .well not really. . . i though the race card was mashing the gas pedal and going 138 mph on the interstate to race the asshole in his hooked up civic. Fortunately there was no cop to make me have to try and play the real race card, which probably wouldnt have worked since i'm white
