I should change my picture, as I have now grown the goatee back. Being without it for 9 months was interesting, but I guess after having it for so many years, it was natural to regrow it.
Someone I never met but sometimes saw post on a listserv died a few days ago. She was 35, and apparently just stopped breathing in her sleep. I spent a couple of hours today reading through her website, and it touched me. She was a very interesting and complicated person, with DID (MPD), and a tough survivor of much abuse. Q, I never knew you, but I wish you well in the hereafter.
And a good friend's dad is in the hospital and it doesn't sound too good. My thoughts are with them, too.

haha. I get that a lot. just kidding. thanks for the lovely compliments! I'm not really vegan. just a vegetarian that uses cruelty free ingredients. for instance, I used butter in my cake (because margarine just doesn't do it for me) from a local organic farm. I tried veganism for awhile, though, and eventually just found a common ground between vegan/vegetarian.
