Daphne and Fred(dy)-

Some of you may recognize Daphne from a previous blog. I don’t think I ever shared her DNA results but it turns out she is no Mastiff. That’s obvious now! She is half pittie, part Lab, Shepherd and “Cocker Spaniel”. Go figure. Regardless, she’s a beauty and as sweet as can be. A great listener and gentle role model for her new little brother, who can be quite a beast with his teeth. She also absolutely adores the kids and has her morning ritual of going outside to potty, coming inside, grabbing a toy and running straight into the kids room to jump on the bed and wiggle her butt all over the bed as she holds the toy in her mouth and periodically drops it for enthusiastic kisses.

Fred has only been home for about a week and is technically a foster since he is underage. He’s almost 7 weeks old and displays all the naughty puppy stuff that Daphne did not like chewing on pretty much anything that is not a toy. Despite his mischievous antics, he is very sweet. I will likely not be doing a DNA test on this guy as it’s pretty clear he is just a good ol’ American Staffie!

If it’s not obvious, his name was chosen cuz the kids love Scooby Doo. We call Daphne Daphy Doo or Raphy Roo and they also love Five Nights at Freddy’s so I may lose the battle with him having a more unique name, haha!

Looking forward to these two little nuggs growing up together and having the time of their lives ❤️
