Check out this little nugget!
She is currently under medical observation at my work and if nothing fatal, will be coming home with me to be a companion for my deaf Dalmatian. She was brought to a local city shelter as a “stray”(can you imagine this puppy roaming the streets as a “stray”?🙄), not eating and lethargic which can be a huge red flag for a puppy. She could have a basic URI or worse. She had only been at shelter for 4 days, noted with nasal discharge. By the time we scooped her up, she had a runny nose with clear discharge and started eating once she arrived at my work. Still not a full energetic puppy but I am hoping she will get there so she can come home.
My deaf dog is about a year old and has tonnnns of energy. You can reference a previous blog about her story and how to she came to my work and then home with me but she has only started to live her life. My older big dogs enjoy playing with her in moderation but she wants more, more and then more. This pup will have plenty of energy to keep her busy and give me and my hubby more incentive to get out and do things in the world since we seem to have migrated into home bodies in the last few years once we realizes our older but very spry pittie could not longer go on hikes or do anything strenuous.
In our household we have 7 dogs total! I know it sounds like a lot but it really isn’t when only two of them are large dogs. Out of the 7, 4 of them are over 10 years old. If this little girl comes home, she will be 8 and the last for a while!
Here is to her making a full recovery! 🍻
