Good Morning lovely people!
Life can be tough sometimes but there is always something to be thankful for, even on the other 364 days that aren't Thanksgiving!
I wanted to share a few things I am thankful for each and every day:
My family/parents: This one is a given, although not everyone has a tight relationship with their family. I am thankful for them because we are there for each other no matter what, even when we fuck up and even if it's been a while since we've talked. We have each other's back. My parents have never let me down or turned their back on me. They have let me fall so I can learn but it made me a stronger person and I will forever appreciate the way they raised me. Do no harm but take no shit.
My husband/kids: No one enjoys peace and quiet like I do and I don't get much of it. However, I would not change my status of Wife and Mother for the world. My husband and I knew in High School that we would be where we are today. I am grateful every single day that I wake up in his arms.
My pets: My animals are my therapy. After a rough day all I want to do is snuggle with them and all my anxiety seems to go away in that time. I'm gonna play favorites for a minute and be slightly specific here. My 10 year old pittie and my Potbelly Pig, Kevin are my rocks. I love all my animals (and there's plenty!) but I do not know what I would do without either of these guys.
My job: Everyone always says "if you enjoy what you do, its not a job". I would say that is pretty accurate. I am very passionate about my job and I love going to work every single day. To know that I make a difference in the life of shelter dogs is rewarding enough but there is nothing like watching them make a connection with a family and get adopted. The paycheck is a bonus.
Reliable transportation: I am not a fan of public transportation what-so-ever. Therefor, I am thankful that I have a reliable truck to get from point A to point B.
SG community: I am thankful for this community for helping me feel comfortable in my own skin and teaching be about body positivity, after having two kids and thinking negatively about myself. This community has made me an overall happier person. My first hopeful set was shot a few weeks ago and is currently in editing. Can't wait to share it with you amazing peeps!
Life: Above everything else, I am thankful for every day that I wake up & have a fresh bowl to smoke and the ability to live my life the way that I want to. Music also plays a huge part in my sanity.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone ❤️
What are you thankful for?
