Well I applied for a supervisor position at the job I recently left to be a stay at home Mom. We decided it's for the best since we still haven't gotten Subby's unemployment or severance package. We just can't chance having no income. The only thing I'm struggling with is that Ollie will have to go in daycare once Subby finds a job. I just feel like I'm failing her by letting someone else take care of her all day long. I mean, I'm SERIOUSLY struggling.

So if you have any good experiences with your kids in daycare I would REALLY appreciate if you would share them. Please no horror stories, I'm having a hard enough time.

My wife and I finally had to bite the bullet and take our little one to daycare. My sister-in-law had been watching her, but she now has a newborn of her own. We ended up choosing a church affiliated center that was close to my mother-in-laws house. We had a good experience previously with my nieces, and they seem to do a pretty good job. I think it is always tougher on the moms, since they form such a tight bond with their children. My wife made me take her to daycare the first day, and little Miss V. did fine. We get a daily report of eating, naps and other important events. They even texted us with pictures of her first couple of days. Check with other parents, or get references, and check out the place before you commit. And if you don't like one place, pull the diaper bag and head someplace else, there are usually a number of good places in a small city. Good luck, and trust your gut.

Well if subby's not working, why not just do this?
