I'm really handling this a lot better than I normally do. Gramps decided to die when my Gramma passed. It only took 49 days for him to do so. Now he is truly at peace. He was in a LOT of pain at the end, watching him suffer was a lot harder than letting him go. I think it's also easy cuz I got to say goodbye to him last month. I got to tell him how much I love him. I got to talk with him about my new life. And he got to explain why he wanted to die and I got to tell him I understood and accepted his choice.
This is the first time I've really gotten to have closure when dealing with death. The other 6 deaths this past 1 1/2 yrs didn't allow me that. The difference is astounding.
Anywho, flying back up to WI next wednesday night. Comin back home the following Monday. I refuse to make that drive again for awhile LOL. Course Mom is freaking out about picking me up from the airport so I'm tryin to find friends to come get me. Hopefully I will succeed.

I'm sorry you lost your Grandpa, but glad you got some closure. Closure is always important. It sounds like he had a good life. Good luck chicken, keep your head up.
