Ah ditto, I don't mind applying for the jobs but am getting fed up with the lack of a response except for an acknowledgement of the application.

We have a hose pipe ban coming in next week so am mindful of the new shrubs I planted a few weeks ago that I got by chance in a Sale!

My wife and I finally had to bite the bullet and take our little one to daycare. My sister-in-law had been watching her, but she now has a newborn of her own. We ended up choosing a church affiliated center that was close to my mother-in-laws house. We had a good experience previously with my nieces, and they seem to do a pretty good job. I think it is always tougher on the moms, since they form such a tight bond with their children. My wife made me take her to daycare the first day, and little Miss V. did fine. We get a daily report of eating, naps and other important events. They even texted us with pictures of her first couple of days. Check with other parents, or get references, and check out the place before you commit. And if you don't like one place, pull the diaper bag and head someplace else, there are usually a number of good places in a small city. Good luck, and trust your gut.

You and your family have my best wishes. We went through the same event last year. On the bright side, the replacement job was much better than the one lost.
