Glasgow is an amazing city, full of amazing people. I just got back from a short 3 day holiday up there, and I had a BLAST. The night my friends and I got into town we met up with Dixy and her boyfriend Cambridge who took us to the Solid Rock, a great bar that played good metal and rock music. They told us all about the city and we talked for ever about everything. It was a great time. When it got late they said goodbye and pointed us toward a cool bar called Rufus T's' just up the street. It was pretty slow up there, but I met their really HOT bartender, Claire, and we discussed our mutual love of Thin Lizzy.
The next day we did the touristy stuff. We went to the Religion Museum, Cathedral, and Necropolis, as well as a couple parks and wandered around the city. That night we again met up with Dixy and Cam at the Solid Rock for drinks. Unfortunately they couldn't stay long, so we soon headed down to the Crow Bar, and eventually back to Rufus T's. Both bars provided lots of opportunities to meet great new people and talk to some awesome folks and listen to great music. The Crow Bar even had a t.v. playing Blazing Saddles.
After we left Rufus' we were gonna go over to the Cathouse, but one of my friend's was "too drunk" so they wouldn't let him in. We wandered the street a bit, not knowing where to go, and somehow ended up at the Truffle Club, a really nice looking lap dance club. We got in for free somehow and quickly set up over in the corner on a couch and just chilled for a while. Of course we eventually broke down and started getting lap dances. Point of interest, strippers in Glasgow are BEAUTIFUL, and well better than any I've seen in England. Of particular interest to me was a girl up there named Jackie, who was no less than 6'1" tall and gorgeous. If anybody is in Glasgow and feels the need for a stripper, the Truffle Club is not a bad choice.
So anyway, that was most of the interesting stuff on the trip. Most of the final day was spend nursing off the hangover and wondering where all our money went while lying around at Glasgow Preswick Airport.
My sincerest thanks goes out to Dixy and Cam for being such great friends and showing us places we wouldn't have normally known about. You guys rock.
