Well, I didn't take the day off, but made myself a Peel compilation CD last night for the car so I could listen to it to and from work. Think I'm starting to come to terms with things.
Think I might nip up Heswall this weekend to see if anyone is leaving flowers anywhere. That's if I don't end up in Manchester on a bender. (and I'm not talking about Steven Gately, ho ho)
Speaking of work, there was a advert in the local evening rag for a webmaster at one of the local councils. It seems too good to be true - organising other people doing shit instead of doing it myself, and getting paid loads more money for it. I might never have to open Photoshop or Textpad again. Woohoo! Still, I always feel cheeky about having the brass neck to apply for these jobs - there's bound to be a zillion people who actually know what they're doing applying for it. "Phone for an informal chat" it says. An informal chat? Now, if I phoned up and said "alright mate, how's things? you out this weekend?" would that be a good start?
