oh my.
i heard the worst news last night....
on Nov 4th we were on our way to see Bayside open up for Hawthore Heights at Slims in SF, when we heard the show had been canceled. damn. oh well. i had just figured its fall, and someone was probably sick and couldnt play. i was really looking forward to seeing bayside, but i knew they would make it up eventually.
last night while calling my friend sean to wish him a happy birthday he told me the news....
There has been a tragic loss. Bayside was in a terrible accident while driving to a concert on The Never Sleep Again Tour. Their drummer John Beatz Holohan was killed when their van flipped after hitting a patch of ice outside of Cheyenne, WY. Their bass player Nick Ghanbarian was also seriously injured.
they are all such amazing guys and this is such a terrible loss. my best wishes goes out to john's friends and family.
