EDGEFEST was amazing...I don't even know where to start!
Highlights of the trip defiantly had to be that there was over 8,000 people there, it fucking poured and the mosh pit actually turned into a pit, the food was amazing, the line ups for the port-a-pooties were absurdly long, AND we got to see the batmobile from the upcoming Dark Knight movie...I touched it!
The booth that I was working for, Music For Relief, brought in a lot of donations and we got to talk to some amazing people and hear their stories. More people than I expected had stories on how the hurricane and tsunami actually affected their lives, and one woman even got teared up when I told her about Linkin Park's actual involvement with Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans where the band themselves built some of the houses down there.
Overall, the three of us had a great time, and the only thing that we had to pay for was the hotel and gas. Which, when divided three ways, only cost us each $60...which is $30 cheaper than the price of one ticket's admission alone.
Here are some pictures from the weekend...ugh, amazing!
