just back from my first time ever teaching an avalanche 1 curriculum to a bunch of college kids. long time in the field. crazy emotional roller-coaster because of some of the issues the students were dealing with, but managed to keep everyone in the field and no evacs! all in all a good week, have not talked to some of my good friends on here...

It's actually quite warm today. Got up to the high fifties. I haven't had my jacket on till now. Snow tomoro apparently though
Tomorrow is my birthday and also the beginning of my first avalanche class I have ever taught. Super excited, the kids arrived today. A college class from vermont coming to Idaho to take an intro to backcountry skiing and avy 1 should be a super fun week!

haha thanks. that was actually after my second sitting. First was early December line work and most of the shading, which was 4 1/2-5 hours. This time he started with the color which took around 4 hours. I have 2 more rounds, about another 8 or 9 hours before it's done (or at least that's what we have scheduled).
