Woo Hoo!! Boy am I glad to be back home (Seattle). I must say this past week has been an adventure and a half. One I would not like a repeat of. ....
SO I flew to Spokane, WA on Mon. And saw the parentals and brothers which was exciting in and of itself. I miss them a lot. And the brothers are growing up so fast. The oldest younger brother (15 yrs. old) is now taller than me and won't let me forget it. So mon. as we all know was Christmas eve and my granny's birthday. It was kinda of dismal though considering the fact that her husband my poppy is dying of cancer....
. Well we celebrated to the best of our ability and then parted ways..
Next was Christmas Day!! The whole family came over for brunch which included sliced ham, bacon, eggs, homemade waffles, pancakes, sausage, egg nog, coffee, and my favorite (as of right now) biscuits and gravy! Yummy! The downside was we had about 10-12 children all under the age of 11 running around like crazy; hyped up on candy and fighting with one-another as most kids do. This lasted for 5 hours on top of the talk of trying to get me to move back and me being gay talk. Ugh! This was not a pleasant experience. Though on the plus side my son Kaden did get to spend Christmas night with me!!
Next day was Wed. and my brother's b-day. I hadn't bought him a present yet and had to spend a good portion of the day fighting post-Christmas shopping crowds..Whoopie!
He didn't want to do anything special so i gave him my present had cake and spent the night holed up in the guest room.
Thursday came along which was uneventful and by this time after a total of 6 inches of snow fall while I was there I was ready to go home. (it's so freaking cold in Spokane) I spent that night with my girls. We had a lesbian night. (No this is not what you think it is, get your mind out of the gutter) We chilled had drinks (egg nog for me) and watched movies. Good night!
Last was Friday (yesterday) which was interesting...I woke up at 5 to be at the hospital for Kaden's surgery. He had to get his tonsils and adnoids removed and tubs in his ears. Overall the surgery went well, he didn't have to get tubes instead they just made little cuts in some part of his internal ear to relieve pressure and that was that. Though he had a hard time recovery from anethesia and such. But he's my little man and a fighter he did rock star job. So I spent half my day in the hospital with my mum and Kaden's dad and his fiance. So here's the shit kicker of it all. This girl knows me from work from past corporate meetings.( i don't remember her), plus she looks like me exactly. She is a little taller than me, a bit more weight, and has hair, AND the hospital staff thought WE WERE SISTERS>...SO between the battle of who is the mother there seemed to be confusion, and spending time with Kaden (only 2 visitors at a time), it was tiring stressful and upsetting. DId i mention that she is 3 months pregnant after being told by his dad that he couldn't have kids. WOw life is so very ironic.
Well I left the hospital with a tearful good-bye, went to the airport to catch a delayed flight, then jetted over to Seattle where I had to wait in the plane for another 30 min,. due to air traffic congestion, and then find lost luggage..(can we please just end it now.) I finally arrived home after paying a $40 dollar cab and proceeded to not be able to fall asleep till 1:30 am and was up today at 7 to work a 12 hour shift.
With this all being said, i refuse to go on vacation for a long while and I think i'm going to cut my time at work down to 40 hrs a week(which sounds reasonable to me).
ANyway of of this drivel, I'm glad to have my laptop back which my father fixed for me YAY! and glad to be back here and see and speak with y'all. Loves to everyone!!
