Well time for the good news bad news update everyone......: This is a very long update and medical filled one. You have been warned NOW......
Good News:
So work has been going quite well. I work hella crazy hours 50-70 hrs a week. It's tiring but it feels good, and it feels even better to get back in to management. ANd speaking of management i was talking with my ROD (regional operations director) and also with my GM. SO if all goes well in the next year to year and a half i could very well possibly be the GM of my own restuarant at 22 yrs. I don't know about you but i think this is just about rock star status considering i work for a nation wide company.
ALso my youngest brother who up until about a year ago had a slight speech impediment and thought coordination, has recently started 1 st grade this year and the teachers have nothing but praise for him .There is no sign of the struggle that he had for 6 yrs. I'm so proud of him
Next off in good news land I might be getting a puppy. A mini smooth coat fox terrier, if not now then when my roommate and I's lease is up in Feb. We are going to get a house so we'll get our dogs then. Plus, this bike thing is still looking encouraging i just have to find time to look at one's irl and take time to do the class and learn how to ride.
SOOOO.......with that said, time for the discouraging news of my world.
Bad NEws:
For about 2 months now i have been having kidney pain, and for also about 2 weeks i have been having bladder pain. No it's not a UTI. So i went to urgent care the other day because i was in severe pain. They took a lot of blood and urine samples and gave my meds. for a bladder infection. OK whatever not bad right..
WRONG
I've been to the doctor again and had yet again more tests. I already have the results back from all these tests yay!!
I had 5-6 things flagged. The first being my Potassium level is dangerously low resulting in Hypokalemia(?). This can affect your heart and other vital organs.
hypokalemia
noun Pathology. an abnormally low concentration of potassium in the blood.
Symptoms of hypokalemia include irregular heartbeat, which can range from mild to severe. Severe cases can result in cardiac arrest and paralysis of the lungs. Other symptoms can include muscle weakness, cramping, or flaccid paralysis (limpness); leg discomfort; extreme thirst; frequent urination; and confusion. Infants and young children with gastrointestinal illnesses that cause prolonged vomiting and diarrhea can die from cardiac arrest when potassium levels become dangerously low.
Next is my abnormally low Glucose Levels...
glucose n.
A monosaccharide sugar the blood that serves as the major energy source of the body; it occurs in most plant and animal tissue. Also called blood sugar
ANd yet again next my Hemoglobin A1C is through the freaking roof. This is extremely bad and is causing part of my kidney damage. Yes i said it my kidney is damaged and is slowly failing me. I've known for a bit. But this is the official statement of it all now.
What is a hemoglobin A1c (A1c)?
To explain what an A1c is, think in simple terms. Sugar sticks, and when it's around for a long time, it's harder to get it off. In the body, sugar sticks too, particularly to proteins. The red blood cells that circulate in the body live for about 3 months before they die off. When sugar sticks to these cells, it gives us an idea of how much sugar is around for the preceding 3 months. In most labs, the normal range is 4-5.9 %. In poorly controlled diabetes, its 8.0% or above, and in well controlled patients it's less than 7.0%. The benefits of measuring A1c is that is gives a more reasonable view of what's happening over the course of time (3 months), and the value does not bounce as much as finger stick blood sugar measurements.
Since my Hemoglobin is so high i have a greater risk of Microvascular complications.
There were several other flags one that pertained to my liver...my bilirubin being to low. So with all this i mean to say is that I am keeping my head up. I just thought i'd share. I'm going to see several specialists, and getting this under control.
Life has been fantastic otherwise. I work and go out with friends and find that i'm quite alright not being in a relationship. I'm thriving and enjoying Seattle, it's been good to me and i've learned a lot in the past few months. I thought that perhaps maybe i might move from here. But I love this city and it has so much to offer.
Well with that i bid you adieu. No worries anyone i'll be fine. And just to let everyone know towards the beginning of Dec. I will be down in San Francisco and the bay area and what not. Let me know who will be available. so goodnight and take care..
By the way is anyone O+ and can you donate a kidney..pretty please??

I found my Klausypants on petfinder. He is my big sweetheart.
If I could afford both, I would get her both. But I think I am going with jewelry from a designer from your part of town, Jamie Joseph. Her work is amazing. And I already made reservations for dinner at one of my favorite places, Chez Panisse.
