Hi friends!❤ Yaaaas, I finally wrote this blog! I was planning to do it about a year, heh :D
Ok, let's go! We'll start from my fave coffee shop, I always chill here and work with my sites or hang out with friends. At first I'll tell you smth about my city, ok?
Samara is a river city and stay up on the river bank Volga. We have an amazing embankment where people usually spend free time. There is also so beautiful at night...stars sky, beach and river. What could be more romantic?!
Our first stop is The Square of Glory. It's the one of the main places of our city. The most important government buildings like "white house" are located here. Regardless of this fact, it's an amazing place too see beautiful views of Volga and Zhigulevsky Reserve. In the center of Square you can see the Monument of Glory, 13m tall man's figure, with wings raised over his head, standing on the 40m pedestal. The pedestal symbolizes ray of light rising to the sky.
And now let's go down to our legendary embankment. It's famous by its length, more than 5km, can you believe?!
It consists of 2 parts, that locals call "new" and "old" :) People love to spend time here, doing sports, walking with kids and families or just chilling on the beach.
I'm not a beach person, but I love this place:D So my choose is lazy city walkings like now ;)
On the right you can see the statue of Knyaz' Grigory Zasekin, who was the founder of Samara:
Oh, look! Here is on of the most famous monuments of the city "Ladia", which also is the symbol of Samara:
This is Installation of Barge Haulers on the Volga by well known Russian artist Ilya Repin:
It's getting late, my friends. So, I wanna finish our walking city tour at my the most fave place! It's the "Kuibyshev Square", the largest square in Europe, and the second by size in the world!
P.S. Samara food industry is known for its chocolate, vodka “Rodnik”, and “Zhiguli” beer🍫🍻
Thanks for reading my friends!
