So my hansome cat Cyrus has been a little off lately, so I took him to the vet this morning. I had to leave him there all day as I had practicum and school today. So by the time I went and picked him up after being told on the phone 'the vet says she needs to talk to you' I had all these horrible worst-case-scenerio things going on in my head. I was terrified...he has had some minor health problems in the past so I was thinking ....oh just horrible things.
Anyways...it turns out that my boy has diabetes! Holy shit!
Ok so in comparison to what I was scared about (like him being dead by the time I got there) it's not really so bad. So I have to take him back in tommorrow morning so they can give him some insulin and monitor him, then go back at 3.30 to get taught how to give it to him. I'm gonna have to give him an insulin shot twice a day! BUT he'll be ok and healthy again soon!!
So we already have a high maintence pet, Teq has an eye disease and so I give her eye meds twice a day, so I can totally deal with the work part of it, anything to ensure he's ok. BUT the whole needle thing is starting to make me worry. Some of you might have seen Nathanial's blog talking about how I used to have a drug problem, and although I celebrated 4 years of being clean on Jan. 10, seeing needles even on TV makes me feel ill and uneasy. So the thought of having to use them twice a day for my cat freaks me out.
But I'm trying not to worry too much, I told Nathanial that I would give him his shot and then go puke if I had to every day just to make him better I would. And I will. But hopefully I won't yak at the vets.
I just realy need to remember that he'll be ok
and not let my bullshit get in the way of him getting better

And i have had red hair before.... Red and i always seem to fight! lol! Because Red hates sticking around long enough for my liking. Its a fading dilemma.... I think its gonna be an interesting change whenever i get it cut... Mike said to REALLY ponder the idea before i do actually cut it... I personally think he doesn't want me to do it.... I want to though... I'm just a little scared cause i'm sooo used to longer hair...
And you know, a traditional Geisha is what i'm looking for, but i want a little more detail in the face.... First, i need to make the money to get it.... lol That's the first opstacel! (SP? i really can't spell... Gah!)
Hopefully all is well with you and your fam!
Take care gorgeous!
