illness has basically gone away. just still hacking and coughing, but whatever, i can deal with that. i saw team america again today. i saw it last week also as a sneak preview and it was good both times! good, crude, crazy, offensive (not offensive to me, but all the tighwads out there) humor. the weekend's almost over now. its 145 am on a sunday. blah, i hate that. that went by much too fast. here's a show i recommend. venture brothers on cartoon network. funny stuff. im wondering, should i put a pic of me back up there? i kinda like my freaky scary picture

i entered this school with a black belt in tang soo do (a very similar style, though less commercial) and was never treated with the respect i felt i deserved as someone with ten years of experience. they gave me a white belt and started me in beginners classes (which was fine, for a week or two) but it got to the point where they wouldn't let me fight on the full-contact nights because i was "new" or some shit. i asked an instructor about it, and he said maybe they didn't think i was ready. i dunno. i've been doing this shit for ten years, like i said.
so, i decided to drop the bullshit, drop all of the fucking pads and fake kicks, and i found (after a long search) a muay thai school that was offereing everything that i desired. i've been amazed with the sport ever since i was 12 and saw the van damme flick KICKBOXER (haha - i know its lame, and tong po is like a cartoon exagerration of muay thai, but i just loved the imagery and style it represented). i took an introductory class and loved it, right now i'm just waiting on some money and some time in my schedule to do it regularly.
The noob ship is as slow as a brick however, it gets much better as you upgrade.
