how is moh: rising sun? my friend at work was going to let me borrow it, he beat it already

Yeah, borrow it (if you haven't already). It's pretty short. The first two levels are kinda weird but then it gets good. Not terribly challenging in terms of figuring out what you need to do, but I like it better that way.

But then you're probably being up all night hangin' with your SA homies right now.
girl303:
time to update...surely, you can't still be bitching about girls. wink

illness has basically gone away. just still hacking and coughing, but whatever, i can deal with that. i saw team america again today. i saw it last week also as a sneak preview and it was good both times! good, crude, crazy, offensive (not offensive to me, but all the tighwads out there) humor. the weekend's almost over now. its 145 am on a sunday....

well, i had what would be described as great tkd instructors, the problem was that i do not feel any fundamental attachment to tkd. thats more for flexibility, point-sparring, etc. whenever they tried to package it as self-defense, i knew clearly a lot of these techniques wouldn't work (and, i also recognized many techniques that had been appropriated from more defense oriented fighting styles like aikido and jujitsu). i respected the instructors to some extent, but i felt their techniques and style of teaching would cause their students to get hurt bad should they ever have to really fight.

i entered this school with a black belt in tang soo do (a very similar style, though less commercial) and was never treated with the respect i felt i deserved as someone with ten years of experience. they gave me a white belt and started me in beginners classes (which was fine, for a week or two) but it got to the point where they wouldn't let me fight on the full-contact nights because i was "new" or some shit. i asked an instructor about it, and he said maybe they didn't think i was ready. i dunno. i've been doing this shit for ten years, like i said.

so, i decided to drop the bullshit, drop all of the fucking pads and fake kicks, and i found (after a long search) a muay thai school that was offereing everything that i desired. i've been amazed with the sport ever since i was 12 and saw the van damme flick KICKBOXER (haha - i know its lame, and tong po is like a cartoon exagerration of muay thai, but i just loved the imagery and style it represented). i took an introductory class and loved it, right now i'm just waiting on some money and some time in my schedule to do it regularly.

We launched JTL this morning. It went really smoothly. I have only found one real bug where a camera toggle does not work right. I do not play SWG much on my free time anymore. Its kind of redundant to go home and do what you were doing at work. I think JTL is prettydamn cool though. Once I get my copy of JTL for my play account your welcome to log into my account to check it out if you want.

The noob ship is as slow as a brick however, it gets much better as you upgrade.

last nite started out as any other, drinking at my local watering hole, when suddenly, the strip club was mentioned. i was in. i hadnt gone in a long time (by my standards anyways) so me and 4 other guys headed over there. good times, $1 bottles of beer, and naked girls, you cant beat it. i had fun, and i was a good boy....

Hmm.. the moral boundary of going to a strip club versus getting a lapdance is interesting. I know that you are refferring to economic well being.

Yes freedom is the lube of life.

By the way, I've noticed that you have been a consistent contributor to my journals. I really appreciate that.

Perhaps we ought to keep each other in mind when it comes to future social antix.

Dude you are going to like kill me but claremarie was logged into my computer when I posted to your journal.

What a fucking mess!

She knows that I fucked up.

Sorry about that dude! You had been posting to my journal often and I had appreciated that.

Taint always makes me think of Southern relatives. And then I think of the current way the word is used and have to smile.

One of the many reasons why I don't go to bars is to avoid those types of situations. Sounds as though you handled it well.

And now you've written hiatus. Congrats.
