Alright, I don't care what you're doing, you need to drop everything and watch the following video. Seeing as you have the time to be a creep and lurk my profile, I am sure that you have a few minutes to spare on this.
And now for something completely different:
And now for something completely different:
SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Sorry I haven't really updated this past week, but I have had several big things going on. For one, I worked my first day at the new job, which coincidentally was one of the busiest Mondays that they've had in the past year (just my luck, amirite!). I really enjoyed it there and was told that for now I'm on temporary status for them, which is better than nothing. You had better believe that I'll be working my ass off to change my status to "permanent" now.
Also, I quit my current job. Now I know this probably wasn't the wisest decision at this point because of my temporary status at the new job, but I have good reason. Boy, do I have a hell of a good one. You see, for my nearly 4 years working at this job I've had two harpies of coworkers in my department who have caused me nothing but hell. I've always had to cover for one's hangover days, and the 5 separate occasions where the other was going to put her dog down. All of which she "chickened out" of until the cancer riddled poor thing finally died on it's own. I've dealt with their catty comments and bitchy passive agressive moves. Always aiming to be the bigger person and perservere and let them not see me lose it, especially the one time I came back from being ill with pneumonia for a week to which the younger one made fun of my coughing fits by mimicking me to the other one and laughing at me, because apparently they thought I was "making it up" to get a week's vacation.
Yet, Thursday night was the last straw.
Three weeks ago, I had requested the 26th (my birthday) off because I wanted to visit a friend out of town. The older one Nancy, assured me she'd cover me because she was taking her second vacation in a span of two months in the begining of August and needed the money. I was overjoyed seeing as I've not had a vacation in over a year, and started to make plans. Then Thursday night when I came in, she had the service manager corner me to make sure I had covered her vacation days, I told him which days I could come in early and that was that. Then as soon as Nancy was leaving she passed my desk and said, "Oh, I don't really feel like working the whole day on the 26th, so you're gonna have to come in." Then smirked and left before I could even object.
That was it. I'd had enough.
I walked into the the service manager's office and informed him that because of the continued lack of respect from my colleagues, I was giving him my week's notice and that my last day would be next Friday. After explaining to him my situation and what I've been through, he said he understood, and would be reprimanding my coworkers. Obviously, when I came in yesterday, Nancy was staring daggers at me, so I shot her back a look that basically said, "You didn't honestly think I was that stupid did you?" and basked in the warmth of victory. Now, I get my day off, and Nancy is forced to come because there will be no one else working. Also, I probably fucked with her vacation a bit and I couldn't be happier with my little experience with Schaudenfreude.
Now to go off topic again: Let us talk about The Dark Knight
Specifically how it's awesome and a total moviegasm. That's pretty much all I have to say about it.
Although for those of you have seen it, do you remember the scene where the Joker hangs the corpse of the batman impersonator from the building? Totally saw that when I went into the city last summer. Yep, I'm pretty awesome.

Also, way to get those ho's. You showed 'em. Hey, maybe you'll be made a full SG soon, and then you can just do sets all the time, and get money form that?
