Spent the weekend in New York City. I went there to photograph a wedding at the NY Botanical Gardens in the Bronx, acting as a shooting and schlepping assistant. Very cool. I'm becoming very familiar with the gear so that I'm (almost) as confident with digital shooting as I was with film. Cool, again.
We stayed at the Wales on Madison ave, up near E 92nd St. Riding on a city bus down 5th ave, I was amazed to see Abe Vigoda who stopped the bus and attempted to get some woman a ride to Bleecker St. Our bus was not headed that way, so he waved us on and waited to flag down the next one. Weird.
We also saw Condoleeza Rice getting into a cab in front of our hotel as we waited for our car to show up. She looked fine. And she's kinda old, too.
Anyway, it was a fucking great weekend for me. I hope you all had a good one too.
