My new apartment is awesome. It's almost too big. I'm enjoying the current pace of my responsibilties, although my enjoyments are seriously lacking. In Germany, even if all my friends were busy and I was flat broke, I could still get an outstanding beer very cheaply. Not so here. Also, there's absoulutely nowhere to go to meet people. If there even are any people worth meeting in this town. You see, my original home town, where I now reside, has suffered from the loss of its young population. A majority of the kids who grow up here leave somewhere between age 18 and 21 and a good chunk of them never come back. Then there's people like me, who wander back now and then, hoping for one last chance to escape. I don't mean to make it sound perilous, because it's certainly an OK place to live. It's just not very exciting. Not much to do, and not close to any major city. (NYC is 4 hours away.) I am so excited about my new job, though. I'm getting some valuable experience shooting and doing finishing work in the ole family photo business. Check out our site. Anyone out there getting married soon?
