I sort of feel like the breath I've been unconsciously holding all winter has been released...god, warm weather is a tonic! Even if it's shut-your-eyes-while-walking-outdoors windy.
Things are settling down a bit (in some ways; in others, they're just getting stirred to hell and back.) But I walked home from work tonight, had delicious samosas for dinner, and am drinking a glass of old vine zinfandel while reading a cinderblock of a novel by an author whose work I've greatly enjoyed in the past. So that's all right.
Watched a couple of movies over the weekend...Brick was delightfully clever and very well shot; I loved the high-school-noir story and was utterly charmed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Juno was less enjoyable, and I can't say I understand all the hype surrounding it. It was too precious by half, in my humble opinion, and I did not like the soundtrack at all. I also have Francois Ozon's Sitcom from Netflix and am looking forward to watching it.
It was lovely to see some of you again and meet others of you for the first time at the CD exchange party...and thanks again to lancelac for hosting!
One somewhat-odd occurrence of the week: I've been asked to be a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding - this will make two times in the space of eleven months. Strange, considering that I've never been in a wedding party before this year. Should be fun, though...fancy-dress occasions usually are.
How are you?
