It's been a long, hard week, but also a good one. Lots of changes going on everywhere, but I'm coping (and quite well, if I do say so myself.)
The onset of spring is such a relief...I know that some people are actually diagnosed with Seasonal Affective Disorder, but really, how can a winter like this not take a toll on anyone and everyone's mood? And how can you help but be delighted by walking out into a sunny, 50-degree day at lunchtime?
It did, and I am...I'm so looking forward to this summer. I listened to a few songs today that I remember hearing a lot last summer, and it made me smile to myself while watching the rushed lunchtime crowds hurrying by.
I am so lucky, in so many ways, and I tend to lose sight of that at times...getting caught up in other peoples' pettiness and, as the Shins would say, "ridiculous, repulsive games." No more. It's spring, the world is new again, and one of my dearest and oldest friends will be drinking with me this time tomorrow night. Life is good.
Cheers!
