In the vacuum in time created by the schedule of the weekend, and days leading up to it, things are less than peachy out there, which makes spouting off the details of my own escapades to be trivial. I see that some of the folks that I've come to know on here are troubled, by both, old demons, and some new gremlins. I hope to get around contacting some of you directly... those that have not gone MIA. In an odd way, the people I meet online seem far less full of shit than those I deal with directly. Of course, those whose agendas I might serve to bolster, tend to bend truths to fit their purposes. Here, it's different because it is more about minds sharing in writings, videos, and images constructively. The phonies reveal themselves rather quickly. Bullshit is a very difficult thing to live up to.
I've been a bit tied up with "things" (major understatement). The weather's cooled some, so there are some things regarding the house and studio that need to be addressed. I can see there will be the need to work in two areas at once. The automotive related imagery will definitely bring more immediate sales, and recognition within a large new group of people that are becoming a large portion of the local economy. That is a factor that is hard to ignore, since the larger economic picture is frankly, bleak. The immediate area is an example of the exception to that rule, based on some arts related grants, and the influx of our rabid four wheeled discretionary spenders.
That's how I find myself finishing up a Lamborghini Gallardo- Super Legarro canvas. I'd rather be working on the celebrity portraiture, and Women of Diversity" series. We're going to be in Kentucky for the last week of the month, and some of August--getting back just in time for the inaugural ceremonial events for the opening of the larger Thunderbolt circuit. I've got obligations regarding all that too, at this point. I have to keep a balance to keep a fresh attitude towards any work I'm involved in.
It looks like I'll have a canvas of ValGal started soon, a (skateboard deck) with Amelie--which will be fun to work a quicker type of piece. The other few ladies that have consented to have me use their images will be my August goal to get working on. No, you haven't been forgotten, and in the interim, I see more images going up. I think that the Philadelphia affiliations we have, and those soon to firm up, ought to be receptive to that work in particular. I will have to come back to this to insert photos due to a computer issue I'm dealing with. I will get done.
