Let's talk contraception for a moment.
There's so many types, and not everything is suited to everyone. Unfortunately that was the case with the Depo Injection and me.
Looking back, I absolutely hate the person I was whilst on the injection. I remember next to nothing from those 6/8 months. Which is kind of worrying.
Aside from the constant bleeding, my anxiety was through the roof the entire time. I had THE worst mood swings and anything could set me off. I'm not a volatile person in the slightest, but during that time I was. There's nothing you can do other than waiting for it to wear off.
Navigating the contraceptive world is a little confusing, complicated and stressful.
Despite my awful experience, I'm so incredibly grateful that in the UK we do have free contraception and easy access to it.
